Brazos Valley African American Museum Resumes Regular Business Hours

Bryan, TX (13 March 2026) — The Brazos Valley African American Museum (BVAAM) has resumed its regular business hours and welcomes visitors back to explore its galleries and ongoing exhibits.

While the museum continues working to enhance select exhibits and expand merchandise offerings, the front gallery will remain temporarily closed during this improvement period. These updates are part of BVAAM’s continued commitment to providing an engaging and enriching experience for the community.

Visitors can still enjoy several meaningful displays currently on view, including the museum’s newest exhibit honoring Holocaust liberators, which highlights the role of African American soldiers in the liberation of Nazi concentration camps during World War II. Guests can also view the winning entries from the Martin Luther King Jr. Art and Essay Contest, showcasing the creativity and powerful voices of local students.

BVAAM invites the community to stop by, learn, and reflect on these important stories while preparations continue for upcoming enhancements to the museum.

For updates on exhibits, events, and announcements, follow the Brazos Valley African American Museum on social media or visit the museum during regular hours.
