Rev. Derron H. Robinson was born and raised in Hearne, TX. He is the proud son of Charles and Jacquelyn Allen and the grandson of Esther Marie Roach. He is a 2001 graduate of Hearne High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Prairie View A&M University in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in Reading & Language Arts in May of 2006. Education is very important to him and he was taught early, “you can cut a tree with a dull axe, but it’s better to cut it with a sharp one.” He believes that education sharpens the mind, and it helps one to equip others in this challenging world.
He began his education career as a parent liaison in Hearne ISD. After a few years, he began his teaching career in Bryan ISD by teaching 4th grade ELA at Anson Jones Elementary. His desire has always been to make an impact in his hometown, so a year later he went back to Hearne ISD and taught at the middle school and served as an instructional coach as well
Rev. Derron knew his calling was to be a leader, so he began his master’s degree in administration. During his final nine months of completing his program, he was given the assignment of being the Dean of Students at the middle school. He received his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in May of 2017. The following school year, he became an assistant principal at James Earl Rudder High School in Bryan ISD.
You will always hear him proclaim, “To God Be the Glory,” because God has done great things for him. Whenever he is called upon to help, he is willing to lend a helping hand for there is no job too small for him.
He has accomplished many things, but one of the things he is most thankful for is that God blessed him with his family. He is married to Jarvellyn Neshae, who is a counselor at James Earl Rudder High School, and they share three beautiful children: Cristian Derron, Jayda Derrone’, and Jayce De’Ron.
