Dr. Phebe is a life-long resident of Bryan/College Station and an A&M Consolidated High School alumna. She earned her BA in English from Texas A&M University; M.Ed. in Reading from Prairie View A&M; and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from University of Phoenix.
She is an energetic, highly-motivated, organized, emotionally intelligent and dedicated professional. Dr. Phebe is compassionate and has a heart for serving families, couples, and individuals who seek truth, purpose, peace and harmony in their lives.
Dr. Phebe has taught in public and private schools, higher education as well as in prison educational environments. Her love for teaching has allowed her to travel and share her knowledge, skills, and expertise with a variety of audiences. Dr. Phebe is a certified Anger Management Facilitator, For Kids’ Sake Facilitator, Job Readiness Facilitator, Speed Reading Trainer, Relationships/Mediation/Negotiations Facilitator and Life Coach.
Dr. Phebe has served as Director for Family Promise of Bryan-College Station since 2010. Family Promise is a program for families with children under age 18 who are experiencing homelessness. She also serves as Chair of the Brazos Valley Homeless Coalition.
In her spare time, Dr. Phebe enjoys playing the piano/organ, reading, writing and road trips with her husband. She has served as a Minister of Music since 1977 for various churches in the Brazos Valley.
Married to Curtis Simmons, Jr., the couple has five adult children, five grandsons and one granddaughter.
