The MLK Essay & Art contest is free and open to all students grades K-12 in public, private, charter, home, and parochial schools of the Brazos Valley. The intent is to provide all students with an opportunity to learn about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., his message and his work. To give students an opportunity to reflect on our present and the future. To demonstrate an understanding of civil rights work; and encourage continued study through awards and recognition.
